Are you fearing a Zombie apocalypse but want to wear you pink taffeta dress and heels? Are you craving some brains and cruedite while you slow dance to “Every breath you take,” and “In your eyes.” Then this is the party for you!
Ok, I have to talk about one of the coolest idea I have seen in a long time. It is such in the spirit of the season. It is….you guessed it….Zombie Prom!!!! So cool, right? There is a town by me that is organizing and hosting a Zombie Prom. I don’t know why but I am so excited about this. This looks like so much fun, especially if you are a Walking Dead Fan. Zombies apparently are the new vampires after all! So, I got to thinking about what other Zombie themed events and attractions other towns might be hosting.
Zombie Paintball and 5K
Apparently, Zombie paintball has totally taken off all over the Nation. Click here for a site that will help you find a Zombie paintball close to you.
There are also Zombie runs and Zombie 5k’s that are spreading like a zombie virus all over the U.S. There is even and app called Zombie, Run that will help you train for these events or just help you prepare to outrun the undead.
The topper however is the full zombie immersion experience at Zombie Town in Ashville, NC. There you can become a full fledged Zombie hunter. In the hour long session you are part of a zombie filled show where you are the center of the story line.
Before we laugh off the Zombie Apocalypse as a silly Halloween prank I found his on the Center for Disease Control website.
“Wonder why Zombies, Zombie Apocalypse, and Zombie Preparedness continue to live or walk dead on a CDC web site? As it turns out what first began as a tongue in cheek campaign to engage new audiences with preparedness messages has proven to be a very effective platform. We continue to reach and engage a wide variety of audiences on all hazards preparedness via Zombie Preparedness.”
So the Zombie outbreak is helping the CDC reach more people about other serious health issues. So Zombies are actually doing some good! Who knew…
