All throughout the year I try to set limits and reign in my…problem. I employ every tactic I can think if like hiding them in the microwave so I forget they are there (I don’t.) Bringing them to work so other people can hopefully eat them before I chow down (Ignore the cookie crumbs on my computer. They are just a figment of the imagination.) I have even gone so far as to add things into cookies that should NEVER be put in a cookie, like chick peas, flax seed and veggies. ( Yes, I have messed with the cookie space-time continuum. )
Because of these cookie transgressions when the Christmas season comes the cookie monster within me takes over. The day after Thanksgiving the blue furry guy is let loose. Nothing can stop me until New Year’s morning when I wake up in a crumb covered confusion. The dreaded diet resolution finally breaks the cookie spell.
So this year in a quest to feed my cookie need, I have complied a cookie round-up of tried and true favorites as well as some newcomers that sound inviting. Get your milk handy, if you have a cookie monster inside you this holiday, help is on the way.
